prefer的否定

在后边直接加not，例如：

1、For obvious reasons， I'd prefer not to give my name.因为显而易见的原因，我不愿披露自己的姓名。

2、Many students prefer not to specialize too soon.很多学生不愿过早地确定专业。

3、I prefer not to think about it.我不想考虑此事。

4、We'd prefer not to say any more at this time.眼下我们宁愿少说为妙。

它们的区别在于：

prefer doing sth 中的 doing sth 是作为一件事情来看的.当你用 prefer 时，意思是“选择这件事”.而当你把 prefer、not、和一个动作（to do）一起用时，你表达的是“不愿做.”.也就是说这个动作必定没有发生，所以说 prefer not to do.
