whether和whether or not的区别初三网

whether 的含义是 “间于两种可能性的选择”。如果已经指明是那两种选择，则不需要加 or not

如 :He seemed undecided whether to go or stay (他似乎没有决定离开还是留下)

如果只是同一种选择的 “是” 与 “否”，则可以加 or not，如: I'm going whether you like it or not (不管喜欢它还是不喜欢它，我都要走) ，不过口语中往往会省略，直接说 I'm going whether you like it 。

无论那种情况，whether 本身的词义并不改变

whether用作连词，意思是“是否，是不是”，可引导名词从句或动词不定式短语。
