连系动词举例：

1、状态系动词：只有be一词。如：

I am used to going about alone.

我习惯一个人到处走。

2、持续系动词

用来表示主语继续或保持一种状况或态度，主要有keep， remain， stay， lie， stand， 部分单词举例如下：

（1）He always keeps silent at meeting.

他开会时总保持沉默。

（2）He will have to remain in hospital for at least 10 days

他至少得在医院里呆10天。

（3）In the past， the UN has stayed out of the internal affairs of countries unless invited in

在过去，除非有国家提出请求，否则联合国不会干涉各国内政。

3、表像系动词

用来表示"看起来像"这一概念，主要有seem， appear， look。

lie 作连系动词举例

1、lie作为连系动词时中文意思表示“依旧”

比如：The fields lie thickly covered with snow，covered with snow在这个句子里面做表语，对the fields的状态进行补充说明。

2、The boy lay still on the ground.（看得见的动作 lie “躺”，同时伴随着一种状态 still “不动”，所以就 lie still “躺着不动”了 ）。
