Main achievements: 

1. Presided over the construction of a modern bridge that combines road and railway - the "Qiantang River Bridge". He used the "jetting method"， "caisson method"， "floating method" and so on to solve the technical problems in the construction of the bridge. 

2. Mr. Mao Yisheng turned the construction site into a school， absorbed a large number of civil engineering students to participate in engineering practice， and cultivated a group of bridge engineering talents for the country. 

3. He presided over the compilation of "Technical History of Ancient Bridges in China" and "Bridges in China - Ancient and Modern Times" (there are five texts in Japanese， English， French， German and Spanish). Author of "Qiantang River Bridge"， "Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge"， "Mao Yisheng Popular Science Creation Collection"， "Mao Yisheng Essays"， "China Ancient Bridge and New Bridge"， etc.
