the minute (that) 有時可用作連詞，引導時間狀語從句，含義相當於 as soon as。

一般現在時：

1、由when、as soon as、the minute、the moment、till、until等引起的時間狀語從句，以及由if、unless、provided that等引起的條件狀語從句常常用一般現在時態表示將來的動作，而主句則用一般將來時態。

如：He said he'd turn on TV the moment he got home.他説他一到家就打開電視機。

Tell him I need to see him the minute he arrives.告訴他，他一到我就要見他。

用表示時間的連詞連接一個句子作狀語，這樣的主從複合句就是時間狀語從句。連接時間狀語從句的連接詞有：when， before， after， while， as soon as， until， since等等，這裏要注意一點的是，如果主句是一般將來時，從句只能用一般現在時表示將來意義。

由when，while引導的時間狀語從句：
