“不但…而且…”在英語中應該使用not only…but also… 。如：Smoking is harmful not only to smokers but also to others. 抽菸不但對自己有害，而且對別人有害。

要注意not only…but also…作主語時，謂語動詞必須遵循就近原則。如：Not only he but also I am going to visit the USA this summer.
