thenumberof后面用more还是larger

he number of表示“……的数目”，谓语动词用单数。

The number of ther students in our class is much large than last year.

意思是：我们班学生的数量比去年多.

数量（the number ）多用 large 或者 big

相反，数量少用 small .

用large 或者small 形式数量的大小，但是不能用more
