object和reject的区别

​​1、deny 表示拒绝承认某事物的存在、真实性或价值

She denied both accusations. 她对两项指控均予以否认。

They alldenied ever having seen her. 他们全都否认曾见过她。

2、refuse 表示不愿接受、考虑或接纳某人或某物，暗示决心

I'll make an offer he can't refuse. 我将给他一个无法拒绝的提议。

The horse refused at a fence. 马不肯跳过篱笆。

3、object 指做出不赞成或不喜欢的表示

The general public objects to the use of drugs. 大众反对使用毒品。

I don't object to a glass of hot water. 我想喝杯开水。

4、reject 指因不令人满意、有缺陷或无用而抛弃，暗示无条件的拒绝

He rejected an offer of help from others. 拒绝别人提供的帮助

One of my most able students was rejected by another university. 我的一个最有能力的学生申请另一所大学落选了。
