什么情况下先行词是reason但不能用why

当先行词reason在定语从句中作主语或宾语时，不用why，例如：

What was the reason that/which drove you to be a teacher是什么原因驱使你当老师的（本句中，先行词reason在定语从句中作主语，关系代词用了that或which，不能用why）

The reason that /which he explained to us is not reasonable at all. 他跟我们解释的理由一点都不合理（本句中心，先行词the reason在定语从句中作宾语，关系代词用了that 或which，不能用why）
