如: Present at the meeting was Professor White

这是个倒装句，正常语序是 Professor White， Professor Smith and many other guests (were) Present at the meeting. 也就是 “ 怀特教授、史密斯教授和许多其他来宾出席了会议”。

（一）在There be/seem/appear/live/stand/lie/fly/exist/remain等存在句中，用全部倒装。

（二）表示时间、地点和动作转移的副词如here、there、up、down、in、away、out、off、now、then等置于句首时，为使生动地描述情景而采用全部倒装语序。此时，句子多用一般现在时（代替现在进行时）或一般过去时。

例如：

1、 Look! Here comes the bus!

看，公交车来了！（comes是谓语the bus是主语）

2、 There goes the phone. I'll answer it. 电话铃响了，我去接。

【注意】如果主语为人称代词，就不用倒装语序。
